JEFF HATCH
THE METHOD WAS NOT BUILT AT A DISTANCE.
Husband, Father, Coach, Speaker, Recovery Advocate, Former NFL player, and Author of UNBUILT.
THE STORY
A life can look intact long after it has divided.
Jeff Hatch graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and was drafted by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He later played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Injury introduced him to opioids. What followed included addiction, recovery, relapse, heroin, arrest, federal consequence, and the slow work of becoming honest.
UNBUILT came from that work—not as a promise that everything broken returns to what it was, but as a method for dismantling what is false and living from what remains.
BEYOND THE BIOGRAPHY
The point is not what happened to Jeff. The point is what becomes possible when a person stops protecting the distance.
Story in service of practice.
Jeff speaks with corporate leaders, athletes, recovery communities, treatment professionals, families, and people in transition. His work combines lived experience with a disciplined framework for identity, integrity, accountability, and sustained behavioral change.
He is the founder of Hatch Coaching and the creator of the UNBUILT ecosystem: the book, app, individual and clinical workbooks, facilitator resources, coaching tools, workshops, and ongoing practice systems.
At home, Jeff’s clearest identities are husband to Lauren and father to Sloane. The method is ultimately tested where all meaningful standards are tested: in the ordinary moments no audience will ever see.
